Chat

The Sandy chat feature is the heart of the General Intelligence Platform. It provides a user-friendly interface for interacting with powerful AI language models. You can ask questions, generate text, brainstorm ideas, and much more.

Starting a Chat

1. Access the Sandy Interface: Navigate to the "Chat" section of the application.

2. New Chat: Click on "New Chat".

3. Enter Your Prompt: Type your question, instruction, or statement into the chat input field. Be as clear and specific as possible to get the best results.

4. Send Your Message: Press Enter or click the "Send" button.

All chat history is located on the left sidebar to access again if needed.

Interacting with the AI

• Receiving Responses: The AI will process your input and generate a response. The response will appear in the chat window.

• Continuing the Conversation: You can continue the conversation by asking follow-up questions, providing additional context, or refining your initial prompt.

• Using Prompts: You can insert a Saved Prompt from your Prompt Library by clicking on the "Prompts" button.

• Interacting with Files: You can chat with existing files or upload new ones by clicking on the "Files" button.

• Web Search: You can select this option in the prompt box and have Sandy search the web for a more comprehensive response to your prompt.

Saving Responses

• Once a response is generated, you can scroll to the bottom of the response to either copy the text, export as a .docx or .pdf, or edit the formatting of the text with Canvas Mode.

Using Web Search

• When selecting web search, Sandy will generate a response with citations and links to the sources at the bottom.

• If you do not want citations included in the response, you can click the "Citations" toggle on the bottom right to remove them.

Tips for Effective Chatting

• Be Specific: The more precise your prompt, the better the AI's response will be.

• Provide Context: If necessary, provide background information or explain the context of your request.

• Iterate: Don't be afraid to refine your prompts and ask follow-up questions to get the desired outcome.

• Start a new chat: Sometimes, it will be easier to start with a fresh chat, this will allow the model to forget the previous history.
